This one was definitely an interesting one. Leading up to this movie, it was a lot of mixed feelings. First of all, I am a big comic book fan and an even bigger Superman fan. But, at the same time, I usually agree with critics. So when I saw this start at 40% on Rotten Tomatoes and then trickle down from there, I was worried. A similar thing happened when Man of Steel came out too. But the question remains…is this movie as bad as the reviews make it seem? Continue reading

Arrow “Corto Maltese” — TV EPISODE REVIEW

 Arrow has just been getting better and better as every season progresses. But the second season was so intense and filled with so much drama, I think it will be hard for season three to match it. And even though the iconic R’as al Ghul will eventually show up as the big bad this season, it will be hard to match the villain of last season. Manu Bennett killed it as Slade Wilson hopped up on Mirakuru. And this season is off to a slow start as well. Even season two started the same way, but I just hope this season gets going the previous year did. Continue reading

Arrow “Streets of Fire” — TV EPISODE REVIEW

Arrow has just been kicking ass this season. I was hesitant when they started the season, because I knew they were going to be setting up the Oliver versus Slade showdown. I was worried because I didn’t know if they had it in them to do it right. But, I didn’t need to be hesitant because they have just killed it all season. That is mostly due to the very good performances by Stephen Amell and Manu Bennett. Tonight’s penultimate episode, “Streets of Fire,” really sets things up for an explosive finale. Continue reading
