22 Jump Street — MOVIE REVIEW

June 14, 2014

Jonah Hill, Ice Cube (and his “cube of ice”), and Channing Tatum in 22 Jump Street.

When I first heard that they were making a sequel to 21 Jump Street, I was annoyed. I didn’t want them to ruin a good thing and even paint the first one in a bad light if they blew it. But, I can safely say that this sequel is just as fun as the first one. And that is completely due to the two main actors, Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Continue reading

Blast from the Past: Kick-Ass 2 — MOVIE REVIEW

Jim Carrey and Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Kick-Ass 2.

We still have Nicholas Stoller on with a writing credit, but we are without Amy Adams and Jason Segel. They are replaced by new characters and a new plot, bringing in comedic geniuses Ricky Gervais (UK’s “The Office”) and Tina Fey (“30 Rock”) to take center stage. How did the sequel match up?
