When 24: Live Another Day was first announced, I was not pleased. I had still been royally ticked off with the entire last season, including the way they chose to end it. I didn’t want more of that garbage. But what I failed to do was think on the terrific six seasons that it had (6 + 8 were the bad ones). Just like a bad breakup, you think of the bad moments and not the good ones that had you involved in the first place. But then the Super Bowl teaser came out and it had me excited for 24 once again. It was strange. Just hearing Jack Bauer’s yell had me extremely excited for the new season. I just hoped it was done right.

“My whole life is this expanding circular fuck-up and I’m about to get clipped in a home invasion. What I’m saying is, I was aware that I might have lost my mind.” I swear I could go episode-by-episode and just pull out these amazing lines, mostly said by McConaughey’s Rust Cohle. The writing is just spectacular. The dialogue blows me away week after week. 

Heroes Reborn — Brilliant Idea or a Mistake?

So I was sitting at a buddy’s house watching UFC 170 live on pay per view, seeing some pretty decent fights; when all of a sudden, I check my Twitter. And low and behold, there it was. Tweets and retweets galore. The Rousey fight hadn’t even come on yet (Go Rowdy Ronda, by the way!) and I see the news. Apparently, during the Olympics, a quick ten second teaser aired on NBC. Heroes Reborn. No one knows anything about it and it is all speculation at this point, but do we think it is a good idea to resurrect a show that started so high and finished so low?
